2. Statement on personal data protection

The ESS will contact you in the following cases:

  • if you subscribe to eNotifications,
  • if you send your question or request for information to the ESS for the purpose of contacting,
  • if you provide your contact information on the basis of personal consent in the context of the using eServices (e.g., portal PoiščiDelo.si, portal for employers) for the purpose of contacting. 
     

The ESS will transfer your personal data to third parties (e.g. employers on the portal PoiščiDelo.si, service Profile) only if you consent to data being transferred to third parties.

Only the data on the jobseeker profile for which the jobseeker has given their consent to be transferred to the EURES portal may be transferred from the portal PoiščiDelo.si to EURES portal, and the data will be used in the search engine and the application for matching the offers and demand on the EURES portal and can be displayed as a result of successful matching and search. An individual can choose on the portal PoiščiDelo.si that all or only selected personal data remain hidden and not shown to users of the EURES portal, so that certain data of the jobseeker profile will never be used for search and matching purposes, even if they were transferred to the EURES portal (e.g. data on citizenship, disability, date of birth, age, sex, names and contacts of previous or current employers). 

The data transferred to the EURES portal are stored in the database, which is in the data centre of the European Commission. 
Employers registered on the EURES portal can view the jobseekers profile data for which an individual (jobseeker) has agreed to be processed for the purposes of job search and matching with employers based on job vacancies within the EURES network.
 

At your request, in accordance with the regulations in the field of protection of personal data relating to you, the ESS shall enable you to view your personal data, copy them and print them out and shall also provide you with a list of users to whom personal data have been transferred, when, on what basis and for what purpose.

At your request, in accordance with the regulations in the field of personal data protection, the ESS shall also provide you with other information regarding your personal data that it collects.

The security of personal data shall be carried out in accordance with the provisions of the ESS's internal acts that determine the security policy of the ESS.
 

If it is likely that a personal data breach could threaten the individuals' rights and freedoms, the ESS shall immediately or no later than within 72 hours after it finds out about the breach officially inform the competent supervisory authority (Information Commissioner) about the breach, in accordance with the GDPR. 

The official notification on the personal data breach referred to in the preceding paragraph shall be submitted by the ESS on the form on the notification about the breach, which is published on the Information Commissioner's website.

When a personal data breach is likely to result in a high risk to the individuals' rights and freedoms, the ESS will also inform the individuals, except in exceptional cases provided by the GDPR.

When a personal data breach is likely to result in a high risk to the individuals' rights and freedoms, in accordance with the provision of the General Data Protection Regulation, the ESS must also communicate to the data subjects without any undue delay that there has been a personal data breach. 
 

The Employment Service of Slovenia (ESS) conducts video surveillance to safeguard individuals and property, maintain order on its premises, and regulate access to and leaving its offices and car parks.

The implementation of video surveillance is subject to conditions laid down by law and is conducted at the following locations:

  • ESS Central Office in Rožna dolina, Cesta IX/6, 1000 Ljubljana – main entrance to business premises, side entrance/access to the courtyard through iron gates, rear side entrance from the courtyard/parking lot to the business premises, left side of the front parking lot, right side of the front parking lot, side entrance/parking lot behind the boom gate, fire exit on the front side of the building.

Legal basis: Article 1/6 (e) of the General Data Protection Regulation in conjunction with Articles 76 and 77 of the Personal Data Protection act (ZVOP-2).

User categories: Employees of the security provider responsible for securing the premises of the Employment Service of Slovenia have access to a screen image (without sound) captured by a camera for monitoring purposes. They may watch live footage to maintain security on the premises. Only authorised personnel are allowed to review the recordings in the video surveillance records. 

Information on the transfer of personal data to third countries or international organisations: Data is not exported to third countries.

The ESS undertakes to protect the confidentiality of the personal data of website users and to use a secure connection on websites and portals. The ESS will use the collected data exclusively for the purposes for which they are provided by the website users and within the legal competence of the ESS.

Personal data and contact information will not be used for other purposes and will not be disclosed to third parties without the explicit permission of an individual – the website user, unless otherwise provided by the law. The ESS will do everything to protect your personal data from any violations and abuses.
