Register of Job Seekers
Conditions for entry in the register
You can register as a jobseeker if you are:
- employed,
- self-employed,
- housekeeper,
- pupil, student or
- otherwise inactive.
What do you get by registering?
We can only actively support you in your job search if you are registered.
EU citizens and foreign nationals
You can be entered in the register of jobseekers if you meet the conditions of registration and you are:
- a citizen of a Member State of the EU, European Economic Area (Norway, Iceland, Lichtenstein) or Switzerland,
- a foreign national of a third country (not a member of the European Union, the European Economic Area or Swiss Confederation), provided you are legally residing in Slovenia – you must meet this condition throughout the period of your registration in the register of jobseekers.
Where and how to register?
Register with the local employment office of your choice. It makes sense to choose the office in the area where you will be looking for a job, or the one closest to where you live.
You can apply by filling in an application form to be entered in the register of jobseekers. You can submit the application online or in person.
