Info point for foreigners

The Info point for foreigners is an additional activity of the Employment Service of Slovenia as part of the implementation of employment and foreign labour policies.

One of our main tasks is to ensure the availability of the necessary workforce. Foreign migrant workers play a crucial role in bridging the gap between labour market supply and demand. They contribute significantly to economic growth by filling workforce shortages in the domestic labour market.

For this reason, in addition to implementing employment and foreign labour policies, the Slovenian Employment Service has established the Info point for foreigners to provide comprehensive support to migrant workers and their employers.

Migrant workers who are employed in Slovenia based on work and single permits represent a vulnerable group. Due to a lack of adequate and comprehensible information, they are often exposed to violations of their rights and unequal treatment.

When entering Slovenia, migrant workers face numerous challenges, which can be a significant burden for individuals.

They must navigate various procedures that enable their stay in the country and facilitate their integration into a new social environment.

A lack of basic information is often the biggest obstacle they face on their path to a better quality of life.
