Work of Legal Representatives

Short-term work of a representative of up to 90 days

Foreign nationals who are registered by law in the Slovenian court register as representatives of a legal entity may perform the work of representing the legal person, concluding legal transactions, supervision and similar work in the capacity of a representative.

Before you start working as a representative you should register the start date at our Employment Service. This is done using an online form, and we will then issue a certificate.

You can work for up to 90 days in a calendar year.

Work of a legal representative of over 90 days

You need a single permit for legal representative worklonger than 90 days in a calendar year.

We give consent to the single permit if all conditions are met for the representation:

• of a sole trader,
• of a legal entity (established under the Companies Act) or
• of a Slovenian branch of a foreign company where a foreign national wants to get the employment or perform the work.
