Services with Posted Workers to Slovenia

Short-term services (involving the supplies of goods and maintenance) provided by companies from outside the EU using posted workers must be registered online. A single permit is required for cross-border services provided by posted workers and for individual services (special expertise). Online registration is also mandatory for services provided by companies from EU Member States using posted workers.

Short-term services

Employers from non-EU countries can use posted workers to provide short-term services involving the supplies of goods and maintenance in Slovenia.

Beforestarting to provide the service you are required to register its commencement with our Employment Service. This is done using an online form and we will then issue a relevant certificate.

Individual services

A single permit for individual services is issued by an administrative unit for work requiring specific expertise of a foreign national who is not registered to pursue the activity.

The Employment Service will grant consent for individual services if the relevant conditions are met.

Cross-border services

Employers based in non-EU countries need a single permit for posted workers when providing cross-border services under a contract with a client from an EU Member State.

At the request of the administrative unit, the Employment Service will grant consent to the single permit for such services, which are not short-term, if the relevant conditionsare met.

Services from companies in EU Member States

Employers registered or residing in an EU Member State can provide services in Slovenia using posted workers regardless of their citizenship. In doing so you must be registered to pursue the activity.

Beforestarting to provide the service you are required to register its commencement with our Employment Service. This is done using an online form and we will then issue a relevant certificate.
