Implementation of the EURES network and ALMA initiative
The purpose of the project is the effective operation and implementation of the EURES network in Slovenia and the implementation of the ALMA initiative.
Objectives and expected results
- Support for the work of the EURES National Coordination Office (NCO) and the operation of the Contact Point for the Promotion of the Equal Treatment of Union Workers and Members of Their Family, for the effective and high-quality fulfilment of tasks from EU legislation.
- Upgrading EURES content and services through the use of modern online tools and other tools and methods and by updating existing online aids and developing new ones.
- Support and increased training for staff involved in the project and EURES members and partners for the development and implementation of EURES services.
- Implementation of the ALMA initiative with the aim of achieving the participation of 130 young people not in education, employment or training (NEETs) in a work-related learning experience in another country.
Three strategic documents will be prepared within the context of the project:
- national guidance on the operation of EURES in Slovenia,
- catalogue of EURES services for employers, jobseekers and other parties,
- quality standards for the implementation of EURES services.
Duration
The project will run from 1 November 2023 to 31 October 2028.

Implementation and funding
The EURES – Implementation of the EURES network and the ALMA initiative project is implemented within the context of the European Cohesion Policy Operational Programme 2021–2027, which is co-funded by the Republic of Slovenia and the European Union from the European Social Fund plus (ESS+):
- Policy Objective 4 – A more social Europe by implementing the European Pillar of Social Rights,
- Priority investment 6: Knowledge and skills for a responsive labour market,
- Specific objective 6.2 – Modernisation of the institutions and services of the labour market in order to assess and predict needs for skills and provide timely and tailored assistance and support in balancing supply and demand, transitions and mobility in the labour market.
