EURADRIA 2020–2021

The purpose of the Euradria cross-border partnership within the framework of EURES is to enhance the mobility of jobseekers in the Euradria region in the cross-border area between Italy and Slovenia.

Project Aims and Objectives

The aim of the Euradria project is to support fair mobility for cross-border workers in the Euradria region.

It supports the existing cross-border partnerships by improving the functioning, cohesion, and integration of the cross-border labour markets, and by promoting voluntary geographical and occupational mobility in the border regions of Slovenia and Italy.

The Euradria region includes the Friuli Venezia Giulia region (Trieste, Udine, Gorizia, Pordenone) in Italy, and the statistical regions of Goriška, Obalno-kraška, and Notranjsko-kraška in Slovenia.

With the help of EURES advisers and a network of labour market partners, Euradria provides assistance and advisory services to all participants in the labour market in the region, helping both jobseekers to find work, and employers to find suitable candidates.

Network activities are focused on promoting measures on the cross-border labour market, such as preserving jobs, resolving cross-border employment issues, and promoting opportunities for growth of operations in the region.

The purpose of the Euradria project is to:

  • help to increase the employment rate in the Euradria region,
  • increase the level of information and employment opportunities for cross-border workers,
  • streamline the process of seeking suitable workers for employers in both countries, and
  • provide qualified support to all partners involved.

The final goal of the project is to develop a common labour market in the Euradria region, by recognising mobility flows in the cross-border region between Slovenia and Italy, and by identifying and eliminating obstacles to cross-border employment.

Duration
