Labour market platform

A central point of information about the labor market today and the forecasts for the future

The purpose of the project is to establish an integrated system for predicting the needs of the labor market, the gap between supply and demand, and the definition of the proposed competencies within the educational programs aiming to diminish the  labor market discrepancies and thereby strengthen the competitiveness of the Slovenian economy.

The main objectives of the project

  • Short-term, medium-term and long-term forecasting of needs for professions and competencies.
  • Gap-analysis in occupations and competences according to the forecasts and discrepancies in real time.
  • Proposal for the placement of relevant competencies in the existing and potential new education or training programs based on the needs of the labor market.

 

Target groups

  • Institutions, operating in the labor and education market, relevant ministries, policy makers, etc.,
  • job seekers,
  • employees and
  • employers.

 

Activities 

In the project, we will prepare a working online platform of the labor market, which will in 2028 fully display data on real-time labor market trends, forecast of the short-term, medium-term and long-term needs and gaps within professions and competencies.

The main aspects of the project activities will be:

  • use of the modern technologies and methodologies,
  • preparation of interactive displays of the labor market for various stakeholders,
  • adaptation and adoption of the methodology for labor market forecasts,
  • cooperation at the local level and regional validation of forecasts and
  • connecting the key institutions on the labor market.

 

Partnership

The beneficiary of the project is the Ministry of Labour, Family, Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities, project partner is the Employment Service of Slovenia.

 

Duration 

From 1/7/2023 to 31/10/2028.

 

Total value of the project

EUR 6,000,000.00, the share for ZRSZ amounts to EUR 4,789,862.50.

The Labor Market Platform project is implemented within the framework of the Operational Program of the European Cohesion Policy (OP EKP 2021–2027), which is co-financed by the Republic of Slovenia and the European Union from the European Social Fund Plus (ESS+):

  • Policy objective 4 – A more social Europe through the implementation of the European Pillar of Social Rights,

  • Priority task 6 – Knowledge and skills and a responsive labor market,

  • ESO4.2 Specific Objective – Modernizing labor market institutions and services to assess and anticipate the skills needs and provide timely and tailored help and support in matching supply and demand, transitions and mobility
