JOINT-UA-EMPLOY
Joint innovative employment support for displaced people from Ukraine
The project promotes integration of individuals displaced from Ukraine into the labour market in Slovenia and Lithuania through a combination of active employer engagement, tailored services, and cross-border learning. It is based on cooperation between public employment services, research and expert organisations, and employer associations.
Project Objective
Directly improve employability and job matching for eligible individuals from Ukraine and strengthen cooperation among key stakeholders to accelerate the transition from arrival to employment.
Target Groups
- Displaced persons from Ukraine,
- employers,
- public employment services and other service providers,
- policy makers and partner institutions.
Key Activities
- Duo Day: job-shadowing trials tailored to local needs.
- Establishment of a One-Stop-Shop (OSS) for coordinated guidance and support to employers.
- Mutual learning and study visits among partners.
- Targeted communication and promotion to increase employer participation.
- Short training courses for learning the local language and developing skills.
- Analytical work to support practice and policy (ESF+ Social Innovation+ lump-sum approach).
Expected Project Results
- Improved employability and job matching.
- Greater participation and awareness among employers.
- Strengthened inter-institutional coordination.
- Transferable models (Duo Day, OSS), supported by evidence from implementation and evaluation.

Project Duration
From 1 September 2025 to 1 March 2027 (18 months).
Funding
The total value of the JOINT-UA-EMPLOY project is EUR 453,048. The project is co-financed 80% from European Union funds – the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+), Social Innovation+ initiative, in the amount of EUR 362,426, and the remaining 20% from the funds of the project partners.
The share of the project for the Employment Service of Slovenia (ESS) amounts to EUR 215,541, of which EU funding is EUR 172,428 and the ESS co-financing from the national budget of the Republic of Slovenia is EUR 43,113.00.
