IPA III Twinning project – Serbia

Support to improving working conditions and preparing the Republic of Serbia to participate in EURES

Within the framework of the IPA III Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance 2021-2027, the Employment Service of Slovenia (ESS) is participating in a Twinning project providing technical assistance to strengthen the capacities of state institutions in candidate and potential candidate countries for EU membership.

Purpose of the project

To contribute to improving the legislative and institutional framework of Serbia as the recipient country, for more efficient and inclusive functioning of the labour market.

 

Main project objectives

  • Component 1 – Alignment of labour legislation with EU requirements,
  • Component 2 – Establishment of preconditions for Serbia’s accession to the EURES network.

 

Partnership

The project consortium consists of partners from Sweden, France, Greece and Slovenia.

It is led by CIEEL – Centre of International and European Economic Law, the authorised body for implementing Twinning projects from Greece, acting as the main consortium partner responsible for project coordination.

 

Project duration

From 17 March 2025 to 17 March 2027.

EUR 2,000,000

 

Funding sources

The Twinning project is implemented within the IPA III Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance 2021-2027, financed by the European Union under the IPA 2022 programme – EU for inclusive growth through improved Social Service Provision and Quality Systems for Labour and Education, Annual Action Plan in favour of the Republic of Serbia for 2022.
