National Coordination Point for Lifelong Career Guidance

The central task of the project is to support lifelong career guidance activities, which are essential for individuals and society. As part of the project, we have established the National Coordination Point for lifelong career guidance with the aim of comprehensive organization of career guidance in Slovenia.

About the Project

Individuals learn strategies through career guidance that enable them to adapt to rapid changes in the workplace and the labor market. The importance of career guidance is expressed in supporting the concept of lifelong learning and faster transitions between education, employment, and periods of unemployment, contributing to the reduced social exclusion of individuals.

Project Objective

The goal of the project is to establish accessible and quality career guidance for individuals in all stages of life. This is to be achieved by:

  • Monitoring the accessibility of career guidance for specific target groups.
  • Incorporating career guidance into legal acts, especially in the fields of education and employment.
  • Training providers of career guidance services.
  • Establishing and using quality standards.

Interdepartmental Expert Group for Lifelong Guidance

Project employees closely collaborate with the Interdepartmental Expert Group for Lifelong Career Guidance, which includes representatives of policies and institutions in this field. The group is led by Prof. Dr. Argio Sabadin, bringing together all stakeholders related to career guidance:

  • the Government Office for Local Self-Government,
