CPESSEC Conferences 2025

CPESSEC Managerial and Expert Conferences 2025

On 27 and 28 March, the Employment Service of Slovenia hosted the highest representatives of public employment services from Southern and Central Europe, united in the CPESSEC network.

Members of this organisation include the public employment services of Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Moldova, Turkey, Croatia, Hungary, Bulgaria, Romania, and Slovenia.

The first day featured a managerial conference focused on supporting EU candidate countries in the enlargement process.

On the second day, participants at the expert conference discussed the implementation and impact of the Youth Guarantee, which plays a key role in addressing youth unemployment across Europe.

The CPESSEC network was established to connect public employment services, facilitate the exchange of professional knowledge, and promote cooperation through joint projects and events.

Each year, one country holds the presidency of CPESSEC and organises two conferences. This year, Slovenia held the presidency, which will be passed on to Turkey next year.

The leadership conference concluded with the signing of a cooperation agreement between the Employment Service of Slovenia and the IOM (International Organization for Migration), which provides a framework for collaboration in the areas of fair and ethical recruitment, as well as orderly and safe migration.
