International Research Summer Camps for Gifted/Talented Students (Age 15 – 18)

 

HOW TO APPLY

Admission to the 2008 International Research Summer Camps (IRSC)  in Slovenia for the Gifted is on a rolling, first-come, first-served basis according to the postmark date on the application form envelope or the date the online application is received.

Only a limited number of students can be accepted into each session. Therefore, we urge you to submit your application materials early. Please note that both IRSC programs require that evidence of high academic ability and/or achievement be submitted with the application.

Eligibility Requirements for International Research Summer Camps (IRSC)

All Summer Camps for the gifted/talented programs require evidence of high academic ability and/or achievement. Documentation must be submitted with the application form.

Students who meet one of the following criteria are invited to apply to IRSC:

  • Students who have been identified as gifted/talented and/or who have participated successfully in a local or school gifted program: evidence of participation should be submitted with the ISC application.

  • Students who have scored at the 97th percentile or above in at least one of the major content areas or ability sections of a nationally-normed standardized test or at the highest performance level on a state test administered by their schools.  Evidence of test scores should be submitted with the IRSC application.

  • If no local or school gifted program exists, or if no test scores are available, two letters of recommendation can be submitted.

Qualified gifted/talented students who do not fall within the above categories should contact national institute for gifted education in his/her country.
