The aim of the new internet portal of the European Commission PLOTEUS is to enable access to the information about the learning and training opportunities in thirty European countries. PLOTEUS is an abbreviation standing for Portal on Learning Opportunities Throughout the European Space and it was officially presented on 5 March in Brussels. It is a project under construction, run by DG Education and Culture.

Accessing the PLOTEUS portal, it is now possible to choose among eleven languages that the web sites are written in. In future they will be in Slovene as well. A series of links are available at the portal's address www.ploteus.net which are divided into several sections: Learning Opportunities, Education System, Exchanges, Contact and Moving to a Country. PLOTEUS is based on the information collected by the National Resource Centres for Vocational Guidance from individual countries which are organised in the Euroguidance network. The information on Slovenia was prepared by the national centre which is set up within the Employment Service of Slovenia.
