12 May 2006: Anka Rode, acting General Director of Employment Service of Slovenia (ESS) and Dr. Roberta Capelli, Director of the Service for occupation and labour market interventions of Directorate for work, education, university and research of the Friuli Venezia Giulia Autonomous Region, signed the Contract of partnership and co-operation within the PROMO Project – Promotion of mobility and protection of cross-border workers.

The PROMO Project links to the frame of European Programme of Cross Border Cooperation INTERREG IIIA Italy – Slovenia 2000 – 2006, and it will be implemented till the end of 2007. Estimate value of the project is € 740.609, and the share of ESS is € 220.000.

PROMO Project aims to accelerate, encourage and facilitate the mobility of workers in the cross-border areas of Italy and Slovenia. The PROMO Project will have several phases and will include activities such as labour market analysis and evaluation of working conditions and processes on the labour market of the treated areas. The PROMO Project will finally result in a new thematic web portal and a network of cross-border employment counsellors.
