By the end of 2004 the Supervisory Office had completed 819 supervisions of the fulfilment of obligations by unemployed people or contractual obligations by external providers. Measures were taken in 54% of supervisions of unemployed people and 60% of supervisions of legal entities. The direct financial effect of the supervisions and the measures imposed, particularly those against legal entities, amounted to SIT 74,082,242. The ESS removed 320 unemployed persons from the register, 14 persons had their benefits taken away, and 15 persons had their assistance taken away. Claims were made against 5 legal entities/ESS contractors.
