Under the Statute, the administrative bodies of the ESS are the Administrative Board and the managing director.

In 2004 the Administrative Board (AB) had 13 members, as follows:

• representatives of national employers’ organisations: Drago Bahun, Vili Brandt, Tatjana Čerin, Alojz Vilčnik;

• representatives of national trade unions: Bruno Čendak, Tatjana Labernik, Majda Medved, Gregor Miklič;

• representatives of the Slovenian government: Staša Baloh Plahutnik, Marjetka Mahne, Maja Križan and, on an occasional basis, Stanka Tutta and Aljuš Pertinač;

• representative of the ESS workers’ council: post shared between Lenca Tomaževič Savnik and Danica Dolničar.

The president of the AB until November 2004 was Gregor Miklič; he was replaced by Staša Baloh Plahutnik.

The ESS has an active trade union (headed by Danica Dolničar) and a workers’ council, which was headed in 2004 by Dejan Bračko.
